2nd International Palm Oil Sustainability Conference 2010 (IPOSC) |

Dear Members, The IPOSC was successfully introduced in 2008 to address the industry's concern on major sustainability issues such as carbon footprinting and biodiversity conservation. A record turnout of 550 participants, 9 major sponsors and 23 exhibitors showed the commitment of the industry. This year, the conference will again feature the latest developments, breakthroughs and technologies related to the sustainable development of the palm oil industry, with a focus on major issues such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), carbon footprint, sustainable production, certification and branding, biodiversity conservation and the corporate social responsibility of the palm oil industry. An exhibition programme would also be organized in conjunction with the event. Date: 23-25 May 2010

Seminar on Management of the Oil Palm Nursery |

 Our Branch propose to organize a seminar entitled “Management of the Oil Palm Nursery” with special reference to the BXI – OP System at the Hibiscus Room, RH Hotel, Sibu at 10.00 am on 01/05/2010. The presentation and sponsorship is from HUMI BOX (M) SDN BHD.
The objectives of the seminar :-
1. to update participants on the latest developments in oil palm nursery operations,
2. to disseminate knowledge in pests and diseases management,
3. to introduce innovative inputs for use in the oil palm nursery,
4. to discuss some of the challenges facing the oil palm seedlings production.
